Here is information, you need to know:

Word count – articles on our page have 200 – 800 words.

Tone – understandable, inclusive, accesible and generally positive. Have a look at the articles we already published, so you a have better idea.

Content – we will only publish articles unique and original for Carter’s Golf. We will not publish articles which were presented online or you plan to distribute to other webpages.

Personal promotion – since we do not compensate contributors for posts, we are happy to include a byline and your brief bio containing link to your website, which we will promote with your post. Please keep your bio just 2 – 3 sentences. Carter’s Golf is a great place to self promote. Let people know about yourself.

Contact with our contributors – we are carefully reading every single article we recieve, but sometimes we do not have the opportunity to reply to all submissions. If your article has been accepted, we will respond within 14 days. If your post has not run within 30 days, we decided not to publish it.

Conditions of the cooperation – by submitting to Carter’s Golf you acknowledge that you accept our terms.

What are we looking for?

We love articles which are helping our readers to enjoy the game. Tips and advices how to improve the game by practising, fitness, physiotherapy, nutrition, we like articles about relationships between parents and children in sport, psychologie. We will also gladly publish articles with the recommendation for beginner golfers, experiences from your trips and tips for golf breaks.

Photos – ideally please send us also picture/photography with your post  which will not be bigger than 1MB. We love pictures taken outdoor in natural light.

7 tips to write a great post

write in your own voice. A great post will sound like a real person wrote it and it will have a distinctive voice. If you are not sure what „voice“ means in this context, think about it this way – how would you explain your idea to a good friend?

Keep it short. Just 700 words is great. If you are going to offer tips, include short introductory paragraph on the top of your post explaining why you are offering this advice. Are you an expert on the topic?

Delete needless words – include only words which are absolutely necessary, get rid of the rest.

Use an authoritative voice.  As a writer you are the expert on your own opinion. There is no need to use phrases as „in my opinion“.

Show us your sources. If you mention a statistic or a study please include a link to that source.
